UGC NET June 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) notification on 20th April 2024. • Other Backward Classes (OBC)-Non Creamy Layer (NCL): ₹600
• Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Persons with Disabilities (PwD) & Third Gender: ₹325
• Payment Mode: Online

UGC NET June 2024 Educational Qualifications

Master’s degree in a relevant subject from a UGC-recognized university/institution with a minimum of 55% marks (or 50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/ PwD & Third Gender candidates). Final year Master’s degree students awaiting results can apply provisionally.

UGC NET June 2024 Exam Pattern

The UGC NET June 2024 exam follows a specific format:

Number of Papers: 2

Paper 1: General Teaching and Research Aptitude

• This paper assesses your general aptitude for a teaching and research career.
• It contains 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) worth 100 marks.
• There’s no negative marking for incorrect answers.

Paper 2: Subject-Specific Paper

• This paper focuses on your knowledge and understanding of your chosen subject.
• You’ll have 100 MCQs based on your specific subject area, carrying a weightage of 200 marks.
• Again, there’s no negative marking for incorrect answers.

Syllabus:

• The syllabus for Paper 1 is common for all subjects and covers topics like reasoning, comprehension, communication, ICT in education, environmental awareness, and higher education systems.

Marking Scheme:

• Each correct answer in both Paper 1 and Paper 2 fetches you 2 marks.
