The State Bank of India (SBI) Asha Scholarship Scheme is a commendable initiative aimed at empowering young girls and providing them with the opportunity to pursue higher education. This scholarship program has been instrumental in breaking down barriers and creating a more equitable society.
The SBIF Asha Scholarship Program 2024, one of India’s largest scholarship programs, is an initiative of the SBI Foundation under its education vertical – Integrated Learning Mission (ILM). This program aims to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from low-income families across India, ensuring the continuity of their education.
This scholarship is open to students from Class 6 to 12 and for those who are pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate courses from the top 100 NIRF universities/colleges and IITs or MBA/PGDM courses from IIMs.
Eligibility Of SBI Asha Scholarship
- Open for Indian nationals only.
- Applicants must be studying in Class 6 to 12 in the current academic year.
- Students must have secured 75% marks or above in their previous academic year.
- The gross annual family income of the applicants must be up to INR 3,00,000.
NOTE:
- 50% of the slots will be reserved for female applicants.
- Preference will be given to students belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories.
Awards
- Classes 6 to 12: INR 15,000 each
- Undergraduate Students : Up to INR 50,000
- Postgraduate Students : Up to INR 70,000
Documents
- Marksheet from the previous academic year (Class 12/Graduation/Postgraduation, as applicable)
- Government-issued identity proof (Aadhaar card)
- Current year Fee receipt
- Proof of current year admission (Admission letter/institution identity card/bonafide certificate)
- Bank account details of the applicant (or parent)
- Proof of income (Form 16A/income certificate from a government authority/salary slips, etc.)
- Photograph of the applicant.
- Caste certificate (wherever applicable)
Application Process

- Login to Buddy4Study with your registered ID and land on the ‘Application Form Page’.
- If not registered – Register at Buddy4Study with your Email/Mobile/Gmail account.
- You will now be redirected to the ‘SBIF Asha Scholarship Program 2024’ application form page.
- Click on the ‘Start Application’ button to begin the application process.
- Fill in the required details in the online application form.
- Upload relevant documents.
- Accept the ‘Terms and Conditions’ and click on ‘Preview’.
- If all the details filled in the application are correctly showing on the preview screen, click on the ‘Submit’ button to complete the application process.
