Ration Card E Kyc: It is necessary to get e-KYC done for the ration card, otherwise you will not get free ration after June 30

Candidates benefiting from ration materials through the ration card must complete e-KYC. Consumers have been given time until June 30 to do this. The free ration will be discontinued if e-KYC is not achieved by June 30.

Consumers associated with the National Food Security Scheme will have their biometric e-KYC done through a POS machine at the ration dealer’s shop. Some ineligible people are still benefiting from free ration materials. The government has implemented this system to prevent any ineligible persons and fraud. Everyone must complete the e-KYC by June 30. Those who do not complete e-KYC by this date will no longer receive ration materials.

Under the new system, all members must go to their ration dealer’s shop and complete KYC by providing a biometric fingerprint. Those who cannot offer a fingerprint will have their KYC done through an iris scanner. Eligible individuals must be physically present at the ration shop for KYC. Following complaints about ration distribution, the department has issued an order that all district supply officers must ensure e-KYC is completed by June 30, 2024.

There have been frequent complaints about fraud in ration distribution, with many cases of people obtaining ration through fraudulent means. To prevent such irregularities, e-KYC orders have been issued. This measure aims to ensure that only eligible individuals receive ration materials, effectively stopping fraud. It will help the department determine the actual number of eligible beneficiaries. Subsequently, the names of ineligible individuals will be removed.
