Northern Railway Recruitment: Northern Railways invites online applications from eligible and desirous candidates for engagement in Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 for imparting training at various Divisions/Units/Workshops over Northern Railway.

The Northern Railway has unveiled a recruitment drive for a staggering 4096 posts. This golden opportunity is open to candidates who have completed their 10th-standard education. This move is set to create a significant impact on the employment landscape, providing a much-needed boost to the youth of the country.

Northern Railway Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualifications: The candidate must have passed the SSC/Matriculation/10th class examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 examination system) with a minimum of 50% marks, in the aggregate, from a recognized Board and must have passed ITI in the relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT recognized by Government of India.
• Age Limit: The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as of 16.09.2024. Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in the case of SC/ST candidates, and 3 years in the case of OBC candidates. For Persons with Disability, the upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years.

Northern Railway Recruitment Selection Process

Selection of Act Apprentices is to be made based on merit prepared to take the average of the percentage marks obtained by the candidate in both Matriculation/SSC/10th (with minimum 50% aggregate marks) & ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.

Northern Railway Recruitment Application Fee

The application fee of Rs 100/- is to be paid through ONLINE Mode as part of the online application process. RRC will not accept Application fees in Cash/Cheque/Money order/IPO/Demand Draft/ Central Recruitment Fee Stamps etc. Candidate to note that RRC/NR is not responsible for incomplete or pending online application fee transactions for whatever reason.

Northern Railway Recruitment Application Process

Steps to be followed for filling out the ONLINE Application:

1. Click on the Link “Engagement of Act Apprentice” ONLINE Application.
2. Information to Candidate (Please visit on RRC Website for Notification).
3. Candidate Registration – Fill in the detail i.e. Name, Father’s Name, Community, Category, Mobile no., Email ID & Date of Birth, and Register.
4. On successful registration, the candidate will get a Password for login subsequently on the given Email ID & by SMS on the registered Mobile Number.
5. Login- “Candidate Dashboard containing Application Form, Payment of Online Fee, Upload documents will appear.”
6. After filling up the Application Form, Pay the online Fee (Except exemption category) Upload the required documents, and submit finally”. (Note: Photograph, Signature & Thumb Impression having size 10 to 50 KB in jpg format & Save Images and upload certificates like:- Educational, Caste, PWD & Ex-SM Certificates, etc. On completion candidate can take print of the application & Fee payment slip for candidate purpose records only).
7. Candidate Dashboard appears again containing the Application Form, Upload Photo/Signature/Thumb Impression, and Application Details/Print.
8. Photograph, Signature & Thumb Impression having size 10 to 50 KB in jpg format & Save Images and upload certificates like:- Educational, Caste, PWD & Ex-SM certificates etc. On completion candidate can take print of the application & Fee payment slip for candidate purpose records only.
