The Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Jammu & Kashmir, is inviting applications for the empanelment of retired Executive Engineers (Civil) or above for the role of Quality Monitors under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. This position involves the inspection and monitoring of works under MGNREGS.

Eligibility Criteria
Age: Up to 65 years.
Position: Retired Executive Engineer (Civil) or above from recognized government departments (PWD/REW/Jal Shakti/Agricultural Engineering/Military Engineering Services).
Must have prior experience as Quality Monitors (QMs) or National Quality Monitors (NQMs) in other government departments of UT.
Health and physical fitness certificates are mandatory.
Roles & Responsibilities
UT-QM will support the Additional Secretary by analyzing reports and reviewing findings from QMs.
QMs will visit sites to monitor and inspect MGNREGS works, ensuring a minimum of 10% of works are evaluated in each district monthly.
Submit detailed reports and photographic evidence post-tour.
Remuneration:
UT-QM: Rs. 40,000 per month.
QM: Rs. 3,000 per day for field visits, with transportation and lodging allowances.
Terms:
Initial engagement of 3 years, subject to annual review.
