The Bhagyalakshmi scheme has been started by the government for poor families, under this Rs 2 lakh will be given to girls.
If you are from a poor family and have a daughter, there’s no need to worry anymore. The government has introduced the Bhagyalakshmi Scheme. This scheme aims to provide assistance of up to 2 lakhs for daughters from poor families, making it a blessing for the education of the girl child.
We see that daughters are often considered a burden, and to address this, the government is launching a scheme to provide financial assistance to girls. This will ensure that they are not seen as a burden for their education and marriage.
Under the Bhagyalakshmi Scheme, the government gives ₹50,000 upon the birth of a girl. When the girl turns 21, she receives ₹2,00,000. Additionally, the mother is provided with ₹5,100 as financial assistance.
For education, the government provides ₹23,000, distributed in installments. When the girl reaches 6th grade, she receives ₹3,000; in 8th grade, ₹5,000; in 10th grade, ₹7,000; and in 12th grade, ₹8,000. All girls born in BPL (Below Poverty Line) families after March 31, 2006, can benefit from the Bhagyalakshmi Scheme.
The benefit of the scheme will be given to only one girl per family. Additionally, the annual income should be less than ₹200,000, and registration must be done within one year of the girl’s birth. Moreover, the girl must be at least 18 years old at the time of marriage to be eligible for the benefits. To avail of the benefits of this scheme, you must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
To benefit from the Bhagyalakshmi Scheme, you need the following documents: parents’ Aadhaar cards, ration cards, child’s birth certificate, income certificate, caste certificate, domicile certificate, and bank account passbook.

You need to fill out this application form carefully, provide all the requested information accurately, and attach all the necessary documents. Then, submit this application form along with the relevant documents at the office, either at the Anganwadi Center or the Office of Women and Child Development. Be sure to obtain a receipt from them.
